Mike Taylor writes :

As a lot of us play a bit of golf out of season I have formed a golf society as follows:

The Society is run on a fairly informal basis for players, umpires, vice presidents etc giving an opportunity for a broad spectrum of Club members to come together three or four times a year. We cater for a wide standard of play (within reason).

We meet early season, late season, Christmas and Summer. Venues are courses such as Canterbury, Boughton, Faversham and Princes. The Summer meet is at Canterbury and has on two very successful occasions been a fund raising event with sponsorship (organised by Andrew Thrush). Christmas is at an 'all weather' course such as Princes - where we were well and truly soaked last time! Non players would be welcome to join the dinner afterwards.

The dates are weekdays where possible to fall within school holidays. Each is run on a cost only basis except the Summer meet.

I need to maintain a contact list of all those interested. Please e-mail your details to mtaylor@taylorriley.co.uk alternatively my address is Verneys, High Street, Elham, Canterbury, CT4 6TD (tel: 01303 840483). Even a call on my mobile will do - 07770 533451.

When responding I would welcome any ideas, advice or offers to assist.
