“PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL TO FULFIL THEIR AMBITIONS”
We have a diverse programme of coaching and activities aimed at older juniors with different pathways that can help them get the most from the sport.
Our INSPIRE “hard ball” programme is aimed at those players whose focus is social and offers top-quality instruction on the techniques and practicalities of the game in a fun and stimulating environment that encourages the development of each player to their fullest potential. We have a range of Inspire squads with players matched by age, ability and mind-set and can cater for beginners as well as keen junior club players.
We have pathways for players wishing to undertake increased training and competition, including access to Academy training squads for players of the right standard. The club enters many junior teams in the Aegon Kent League so there are opportunities to represent the club and to participate in matchplays and tournaments.
There is a lively programme of junior social activities including Junior Members Club Night every Friday in term-time 5-7pm, summer barbecues and pizza nights.
Adult members are welcoming of the junior players and Senior Inspire and Senior Academy players are invited to adult mix in on Mondays 7-8.30pm. Many junior players play on adult teams.
Call to book a free taster session. Price £9/hour with concessions for members.
Our SENIOR ACADEMY offers a more serious approach to training and competition performance. Commitment is considerable with players training at least 3 times a week and ideally competing at least once every 3 weeks. Sessions take place in our first-rate facilities, either indoors in the purpose-built tennis centre or outside on our new artificial clay courts. These players will have clear goals and objectives and will incorporate strength and conditioning into their weekly programme.
Our Academy vision is to provide the very best coaching we can deliver in an attempt to equip these players with the tools for success. Ultimately our goal is to help these children develop into confident, positive, enthusiastic individuals with character skills that help them tackle the difficulties that tennis and life throw at them. We place a strong emphasis on helping players develop leadership skills and on becoming role models to the Junior Academy players. Academy players will develop strong relationships with their coaches and will have the chance to compete at Academy supported tournaments, to represent the club in inter-club matches and be invited to training camps at home and abroad.
Prices from £10/hour with concessions for members. Discounted squad fees are available on the basis that “the more you play, the less you pay”. members.
The ACADEMY + is for those players whose ultimate goal is to compete well nationally and internationally.
Total commitment to tennis is required from the player and the parents. The player will receive bespoke tennis, strength and conditioning and tournament programmes in order to maximise the player’s fullest potential and will be highly dedicated to skill development with multiple individual or shared lessons a week.
A flexible approach to education will be required. These players will receive help with detailed goal setting, accompanied tournament visits and discounted training costs.
