Canterbury Ladies are pleased to announce that their Ist XI Coach for the 2010/2011 season is Nick Clark. Nick's arrival also coincides with his appointment as Director of Sport at Kent College Whitstable Road, Canterbury. Nick, formally a PE teacher at Repton School Derbyshire, was Coach at Beeston for four years, helping them win promotion back to the Premier League.

He is currently the England Ladies Under 21 Coach, recently returning from the Junior European Nations Championship in Lille in silver medal place. He is also actively involved with England Senior Ladies Indoor Squad.

Mel and the team are delighted with Nick's appointment, and hopes he can build on the foundations of the team put in place by Ian Jennings who now returns to his home club Guildford.

Club Coaching
New players, of any standard are most welcome to join Club Coach Chris Haigh for dedicated training sessions (please see information page). These sessions are available to all ages, however, juniors may be selected to join The Junior Academy session on Thursday evenings, which offers more specialist coaching for the more talented junior players.

Many players having arrived at Polo quickly recognise and enjoy the friendly atmosphere that we have to offer, so if you are interested in playing hockey at one of Englands Premier Clubs then please contact us.

Sports Scholarships
Canterbury Ladies Hockey Club, The University of Kent and Canterbury Christchurch University are pleased to support a Scholarship for Hockey. Kent, Christchurch and Polo have agreed to work together to attract talented players who are able to play at National Premier Level. Canterbury Kit
Canterbury playing shirts are supplied by the Captains of each team. However all other playing kit including track suits, kit bags and wet weather gear are available for purchase directly from ONETWENTY2 sports shop.
