2017-18 season

We are really pleased to announce the appointment of Australian two-time Olympic gold medalist Kate Starre as 1st XI coach for the 2017-18 Investec Premier Hockey League Season. She takes over from Ed Welch who has moved to America to study a Masters and continue his hockey playing career.

The 1st XI are looking to improve on 7th position from last year and we are hopeful that with a combination of youth and experience we can achieve this. We gladly welcome back Olympic Gold medalist Susannah Townsend from Belgium and  Lucy Hyams after her four years hard study at university in America. We are also delighted to have England Development midfielder Hayley Turner back after a long spell with injury.

The club welcomes new players Ashley Mainwaring and Nicki Ball from Folkestone HC plus we’ve seen some healthy movement between squads as youngsters Aimee Plumb (Eng U16), Ailsa Naylor (U16), Sophie Pinney and Paris Gaisson make their premier league debuts and Vicky O Sullivan deservedly makes the step up to the 1st XI squad.

We will once again be competing in the Investec Women’s Premier Hockey League and looking to continue our previous success in the Supersixes Indoor Hockey Competition starting in December.
