All boys and girls are asked to arrive for registration 15 minutes early. At your first session of the season we ask you to complete a player registration form.
Adults who work with young people in hockey are in a position of trust. So we make sure everyone coaching or mentoring our Juniors at Canterbury is police checked and undergoes a health and safety briefing (including first aid) by the club’s nominated health and safety officer, Maggie Gurr.
For child protection, unless we invite special guests to take part in our coaching sessions, everyone involved with our Juniors will be either parents or members from within the wider Canterbury Hockey Club, or its visiting junior teams.
Our approach is to make training fun and challenging, so that children want to learn and look forward to coming each week.
