NEW HOCKEY SEASON
AT POLO FARM
Canterbury Junior Hockey Club is pleased to announce start dates for the 2009-10 season at Polo Farm Sports Club, Littlebourne Road, Canterbury CT3 4AF (2 miles east of Canterbury on the A257 Sandwich Rd; http://polofarm.org/pfsc/Pages/7/Directions.aspx).
Mini-Hockey (under 12s as of 31st Aug 2009):Sunday, 6th September 2009
- Under 10 Boys & Girls (age 5 and over, school years 1 to 5):9am – 10.15am
- Under 12 Boys & Under 12 Girls (school years 6 & 7):10.30am - 12noon
We look forward to welcoming back young players from last season as well as any new 5 - 12 year olds interested in playing hockey.All standards are catered for and we welcome beginners.Training takes place on astroturf pitches and sticks are provided for those that need them.Mini-Hockey continues on Sundays through the season until the 25th April 2010.The cost per session for Under 10s and Under 12s is £4 (no annual subscription, i.e., pay as you go).All boys and girls are asked to arrive for registration 15 minutes early.At your first session of the season we ask you to complete a player registration form.
Under 14 Boys (1996 or ’97 birth year):Thursday, 10th September 6.30pm – 8pm
Under 16 Boys (1994 or ’95 birth year):Monday, 7th September 6.30pm – 8pm
Under 18 Boys (1992 or ’93 birth year):Monday, 7th September 8pm – 9.30pm
Under 14 Girls (1996 or ’97 birth year):Monday, 14th September 6.30pm – 8pm
Under 16 Girls (1994 or ’95 birth year):Monday, 14th September 6.30pm – 8pm
Under 18 Girls (1992 or ’93 birth year):Thursday, 10th September 6.30pm - 7.30pm (unless invited to train with a specific Ladies squad)
Youth training for Under 14 to Under 18 age groups also resumes for the new season, and continues weekly through the season until at least the end of April 2010.New players of all standards are welcomed. Information about registration and club membership will be provided at training sessions (Annual subscription:U14 & U16 = £75; U18 = £90).
