2015/16 season

LEAGUE POSITION: 9 out of 10

Another escape of Houdini proportions. Out of sight at the bottom of the League at the turn of the year but with a fantastic run managed to get to the play-offs and survive yet again.

2014/15 season

LEAGUE POSITION: 9 out of 10

An escape of Houdini proportions. Out of sight at the bottom of the League at the turn of the year somehow we managed to get to the play-offs by winning 4 of their last 5 league games.

At the play-offs we managed to win 2 and draw one of the three games to ensure Prem League hockey at Polo next year. it was Nail-biting stuff, almost heroic and not good for The Treasurer's ticker either.

Somewhat controversially we won Team of The Year which gives hope to the Friars and other teams who regularly bump along at the bottom of their Leagues!

But the main prize was to maintain our Prem League status for 2015/16! Congratulations to skipper Tom Richford whose press statements during the season made Alastair Campbell  and indeed Alastair Cook look tame in their eternal optimism and inner belief - another Winston almost!.
