Canterbury 3rd's recorded their thrid win in as many weekends against St. Maragret's C.C. at Polo on Saturday and a very convincing win it was too. Winning the toss, skipper Steve Lamyman decided to insert the opposition and the Canterbury bowlers were soon into the St. Margaret's batsmen. The first wicket fell at 27 and a further five wickets fell for just 2 more runs, leaving them on 27 for 6. The final 4 wickets managed to double their score but a total of 54 going to be easily reached. Just the three bowlers were used with Zakir Rostami taking 5 for 28 being the pick. He was ably assisted by Will Trafford (2 for 15) and Charlie Gardener (3 for 7), dismissingSt. Maragaret's in just 21 overs.
In reply, it took Canterbury just 15 overs to reach the 55 requiried for the loss of just 2 wickets. Mitch Weatherley (29 not out) and James Askham (16) ensured the 3rd's reached their target comfortably. For full scorecard please see more
