It was an undefeated century from Old Hartsdonians opening batsman Marc Smith that condemned Canterbury 3rd's to defeat at Polo Farm on Saturday. Still seeking their first win, his 111 not out and Matt Williams' 75 helped the visitors to reached a formidable 243 for 5 from their 46 overs. Wickets were hard to come by but were shared between James Sibthorpe, Zakir Rostami, Tony Mitchell and Will Trafford.
In reply, only Mike Burnett (27), Mitch Weatherley (35) and James Askham (22) made any inroads into the Old Hartsdonians total, finally being dismissed for 175. This is a young side and although a loss, it is pleasing to see the younger players in the side. For full scorecard see more
