Canterbury commenced their 2008 Kent League Division 1 campaign with a crushing 155 run victory against Orpington C.C. at Polo Farm on Saturday. Winning the toss and electing to bat first Canterbury took advantage of the fantastic weather and reached 237 for 6 from the 50 overs. This total was built around a superb 124 not out from Matt Jenkinson who showed he has lost nothing of his devastating brilliance during the winter break.
